Sweaty Sunday : Week 6/23 - 6/29
First of all, let me just say - Happy Birthday to my mom. I’m sure she would much prefer I not post a picture of her or anything about her birthday and to that I say… too bad.
If you know me, you know my mom. I’m her carbon copy. I couldn’t ask for a better role model growing up and now that I’m (sort of) grown up I couldn’t ask for a better friend.
Moving right along… you’ve seen this picture already, it’s the lovely rowing machine. It’s been an ok alternative to running, as I mentioned on Friday it makes me feel like a bad ass. However, it just doesn’t give me the same endorphin hit that running does!
This upcoming Wednesday I have my first appointment with a new physical therapist. I have also been doing more research on active release therapy (ART) which is performed by a chiropractor. My plan as of right now is to ask my PT about it. I want to hear more before I dive right into something else.
In the meantime, I’m hitting the gym. What I figured out at the gym is that if I don’t rotate machines, I get so damn bored I end up not getting a full 30 minutes of cardio in. So, I tend to do 10 minutes at a time, and usually on three different machines. Sounds weird, right? Try it.
This week’s rundown…
Monday - Hit the gym, 10 min row, 10 minute run, 10 minute elliptical, lift arms, 15 minute abs
Tuesday - 1 mile run, 2 mile walk, Tracy Anderson Mat DVD, 15 minute abs
Wednesday - Rest
Thursday - Rest, but more like - lazy, and didn’t feel like it!
Friday - 30 minute walk, 1.5 mile walk with the dog, Tracy Anderson Mat DVD and 15 minute abs
Saturday - 1.5 mile walk with the dog, Tracy Anderson Mat DVD and 15 minute abs
When I hit PT on Wednesday, I’m hoping that she will give me an action plan for what I should be doing and when. From what I’ve read the only real thing I shouldn’t be doing is biking. So, more to come!

Hi, my name is
Happy (Belated?) Birthday to Jan!
